TELL Ohio is part of the Race to the Top Initiative, which was awarded to Ohio in 2010. Initially launched in 2011 using a set of pilot schools identified as persistently low-achieving, TELL Ohio has since expanded to capture input from all licensed educators across the state in the Spring of 2013.

With strong stakeholder support from the Ohio Department of Education, OEA, and OFT, TELL Ohio provides all educators across the state the opportunity to share their voice about teaching and learning conditions in their schools. Data results will be shared at the state, district, and individual school levels and is intended to drive decision making around school improvement planning and allocation of resources.
